Marie M. Winegar, 96, of Derby, KS, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at home with her family. She was born December 30, 1928, in White County AR, the daughter of Aubrey & Ellie Horn.

Marie attended school in Searcy AR. and married Cecil S Winegar in 1945. They celebrated their 68th anniversary before Cecil passed on to be with his Lord July 3, 2014.

Marie was always active; she retired from Boeing in 1984. At the Derby Senior Center, she exercised regularly, making many acquaintances and friends there. She also volunteered in the kitchen helping prepare meals until she was 95 years old. She would say "I helping prepare meals for the old folks!"

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey & Ellie Horn, three siblings, and one son Daryl Winegar of Derby.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Winegar (Pat) of Wichita, Larry Winegar of Wichita, one daughter Donna LeTourneau (Larry) of Derby.  10  grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Inurnment beside her late husband will be later in the Spring of the new year. Arrangements were made by Baker Funeral Home in Wichita KS.
