Margaret Joan Mantz, age 87, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025.

She was born on April 29, 1938, in Tryon, Oklahoma, to Mary and Everett Lofton. Margaret graduated from Udall High School in 1955 and married the love of her life, Wilbur Kenneth Mantz Jr., on July 13 of that same year. They shared 61 devoted years together before his passing in 2016.

Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenny; her parents; her son, Wesley Mantz; her daughter, Vanessa Hager; and all her siblings.

She is survived by her children: Kevin Mantz and his wife Shelly of Derby, Kansas; Bryan Mantz and his wife Tina of Newkirk, Oklahoma; and Jeffery Mantz and his wife Sonyia of Kearney, Missouri. Margaret also leaves behind 12 cherished grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

A graveside service will be held at Udall Cemetery on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A time of fellowship and remembrance will follow at the Udall Community Center.

Margaret's greatest passion was her family, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. She was also a woman of many talents—a gifted florist, artist, seamstress, poet, and author—who found beauty and inspiration in the world around her. Her flower garden was a source of pride and peace. Known affectionately as "Gramma Purple" by her great-grandchildren, she wore her favorite color with joy and spirit.

A devoted member of Jehovah's Witnesses, Margaret held a strong and steady faith in God's promise of resurrection and the hope of life in a restored paradise on earth.

She will be remembered for her creativity, strength, quiet wisdom, and unwavering love for her family.
