Lorna Jean Dedrick (nee Cunningham)

Lorna Jean Dedrick (90) passed away peacefully in her sleep on 05 February 2026 at Medical Lodges of Wichita.  She was born in Wichita, Kansas on 27 May 1935 to Helen and Hughes Cunningham.  Lorna was the oldest of 4 children.  Her siblings included Janice (Cunningham) Susanin, Sandra and Wathen.  Her siblings preceded her in death.  She attended and graduated from Mount Carmel Academy and attended Wichita State University.  She was employed at the Grene Vision Group (Optometrist) for many years.  She was married to Larry Dedrick and had 5 sons, Eric, Lucas, Kurt, Will, and Matthew.  Survivors include Eric (Cheryl), Kurt (Lisa), Matthew (Vickie) and son-in-law, George Michael Cuesta.  Her sons, Will and Lucas preceded her in death.  She was a dedicated mother and always loved to travel.  Funeral services will take place on Thursday, 05 March 2026 at 1 P.M. at the Baker Funeral Home at 6100 East Central Avenue in Wichita, Kansas.  Rosary practice will take place at 12:30 P.M. on the same date and location.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hospice of Wichita in her name.
