Lori Lynn Glover, 64, passed away in her home on June 25, 2024. She was born Mar. 25th, 1960 in Council Grove, Kansas to Jack and the late Nyla Hobbs. Her family moved to Hesston, KS where she attended primary school and graduated from Hesston High School. She then completed a degree in sociology at Tabor College. While in school she developed her gift and love for music, playing piano, singing in choirs and performing solos in numerous places. She sang with Sunshine Singers, traveled with Continental Singers, sang the national anthem at several sporting events, helped with worship services, and blessed many with her vocal talent.
Besides music, Lori enjoyed her time at the beach especially when living in California and Florida. She loved getting together with family and friends and would support her nieces and nephews at their events whenever possible. She compassionately cared for her house cat and loved having a flower garden. One of her favorite jobs while living in California was working for a congressman and then she later moved back to Kansas. In Wichita she worked several years for DCF where she met her husband of almost 30 years. They married Dec. 27, 1994. She was blessed by his tender love and enthusiastic faith in Jesus! He has been such an example of commitment and sacrifice while he cared for her especially as her health declined the past several years.
Lori trusted Jesus as her Savior and was baptized in 1989 at Peoples Church in Fresno, CA. Her kindness and thoughtfulness touched many lives. She was always faithful to send family birthday greetings and reached out to many hurting people.
Lori was proceeded in death by her mother Nyla Hobbs. She is survived by her husband George Glover of Park City Kansas; father, Jack Hobbs; step daughters Kristina Dziewulski and Violette Gomez; Step grandsons Espen and Micah; brother, Kent (Shari) Hobbs; sister, Kara (Mike) Hoover; sister, Jena Hobbs; 13 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Lori Glover on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at New Hope Bible Church in Wichita, Kansas on 11215 W 13th St. N. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM and funeral service at 11:00 AM. There will be a private burial at Hesston Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in her name to Embrace, a Wichita pregnancy support center.
