Loretta Kay Mayes passed away Wednesday April 8 at the age of 65 from a severe heart  attack at the Kansas Regional Medical Center in Andover, Kansas.

She was born in Dallas, Texas, on September 1, 1960, to Robert & Liza (Nina) Roskydoll.

She became a mother in 1981 with the birth of her first daughter, Charlotte DeAnn. Her  second daughter, Waynetta Leann, followed not long after in 1983. In 2002, her son, Joseph  Abdi, joined the family.

Loretta's greatest passion was being a grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Dominik,  Connor, Tucker, Laken, Jace, Aaron, and Victoria. She also had several nieces and nephews  that she enjoyed spending time with.

Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, gardening and growing plants, going to yard  sales, and her great love of fishing.

Loretta is preceded in death by her father, Robert Roskydoll, her mother, Liza Nina Daigle,  her brothers, Robert Allen, Rocky Allen, Thomas Lee, and Jack, and her daughter Charlotte  Wilson (Warkins).

She is survived by her daughter Waynetta Mansfield (Warkins) of Penrose, Colorado, her  son Joseph Abdi, and brother Bruce Cook both of Winfield, Kansas, her sisters Priscilla  Lynn Palmer & spouse Kelly Edwards of Haysville, Kansas, Amie Smith of Valdosta, Georgia,  Laura Morrison of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, and sister-in law Lori Roskydoll of McPherson,  Kansas.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place, with a plan for a memorial to take place on a  later date.
