Linda (Vincent) (Sharp) Martin was born on January 27, 1943 and went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2025 at the age of 82 at Lincoln Care and Rehab Nursing Home in Wichita, Kansas.

Linda, the daughter of Herman and Dorothy (Dillon)Vincent was raised on a farm with her four brothers and sister near Jet, Oklahoma. She was
active in 4-H and sewed and cooked and showed livestock and helped on the farm. She was FFA Sweetheart her senior year in high school. She
graduated from Jet High School in 1960.

She attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University for two years. She met Ray Sharp while attending college there and they married in 1962. They were blessed with three daughters, Barbara (Sharp) Watson, Jeannette (Sharp) DeVore, and Brenda (Sharp) Scripsick. They later divorced in 1979. She later married Carl Martin in 1985 and he died in 1989.

Linda (Vincent) (Sharp) Martin was a wife and mother and homemaker. She taught her three daughters how to cook and sew. She also took care of all of the cattle, steers, sheep, pigs, horses, bird dogs, and even some cats if they could survive the bird dogs on the farm during the day while her first husband, Ray Sharp taught vocational agriculture or FFA (Future Farmers of America) at the high school. She also made many matching outfits for her daughters and outfits when they showed their steers, lambs, and pigs at the county, district, and state fairs. She also loved to sing
to all of her daughters, (even if it was out of tune) tell them funny stories, and quote Bible verses. She still did that up until she lost her speech to a stroke and Frontotemporal Dementia in 2023. That did not dampen her spirits towards her daughters, and it did not stop her from trying to talk, tease, and laugh with them. You could still always tell when she told a funny story, because she would laugh a lot at the end of it. Her daughters were her pride and joy. When she could no longer talk, Linda would hold and or kiss a hand to everyone that visited her and frequently the staff, nurses and cooks at the nursing home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Barbara and her four brothers Howard, Charles, Bill, and Merle Vincent, and her husband. She is survived by her sister, Sally (Vincent) Frech and her three daughters; Barbara (Daniel) Watson of Great Bend, KS, Jeannette (Murray) DeVore of Clearwater, KS, and Brenda (Vince) Scripsick of Wichita, Kansas and two grandchildren; Joseph (Sara) DeVore of Aurora,
Colorado and Jordan Scripsick of Manhattan, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Jet, Oklahoma.
