Lillian L Wilson, 98, of Wichita, KS went home to be with the Lord Thursday January 25, 2024, after a short illness. Lillian was born to parents Charlie and Ina London on March 8, 1925, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. After growing up in Arkansas and Oklahoma she moved back to Wichita and briefly worked at Boeing as a riveter during WWII but laughingly stated she "just wasn't very good at it". On September 22, 1951, she married Richard J. Wilson in Benton County, AR. They have two surviving children, Cheryl L.Wilson of Wichita, KS and Richard A.Wilson of Kissimmee, FL. Lillian went on to retire from Beech Aircraft after more than 35 years at age 70 while working in food services. She was very proud to be Mrs. Beech's private waitress when she entertained in her private dining room and once got to meet President Johnson who was in town to buy an airplane. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching and loved animals. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Richard J. Wilson and her children from her first marriage Sharon, Suzanne and Ronald Dotson. Services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Baker Funeral Home at 6100 E. Central Ave Suite 203 Wichita, KS. Visitation is from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM with services following at 11:00 AM.
