Leon Eldon Tresner, 73, passed away on March 14, 2025. He was born on August 31, 1951 in Garden City, Kansas to parents Lee and Lenora (Sharp) Tresner. Leon resided in Garden City until he entered college.

While at Ft. Hays State University, Leon met Kathleen Erichsen. They were married on January 2, 1971and remained married until Kathleen's death in 2020. The couple had two children, Carey and Coby.

In his lifetime, Leon resided in Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado where he worked with cattle. His favorite places were the Colorado Rocky Mountains and his Kansas hunting grounds. Leon loved his children, grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and camping. In retirement, Leon also loved to tend the garden, watch the birds (especially hummingbirds), and attend his grandchildren's sporting events. Leon will be remembered for his detailed stories, his deep voice that reverberated around the room, and coming to the aid of his children and grandchildren when they needed assistance.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen Tresner; brothers: Leland Tresner, Leslie Tresner, and LeWayne Tresner; and sister, Natalie Tresner. Leon is survived by his daughter, Carey Ornelas of Andover; son, Coby (Brandy) Tresner of Andover; grandchildren: Cedrik, Connor, Luke, Blake, and Olivia; significant other, Angela Riley; brother, Lee Jr. (Barbara) Tresner of Texas; sisters: Noralee Bertholf of Dodge City, Normalee (Jim) White of Virginia, and Nonalea Tresner of Garden City; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private service.
