Larry Foulk of Wichita, KS died Friday May 15 ^th , 2020 in his home due to complications from Parkinson's, he was 75 years old. Larry Manuel Foulk was born January 5, 1945 in Fort Scott Kansas to John Oliver Foulk and Maudie Mae Foulk (Swafford). His middle name was in honor of his grandfather Manuel Swafford. As a young man he tinkered with and raced classic cars; a hobby he would maintain into old age. Perhaps it was his bad boy persona or his baby face and slick hair that drew the affection of his future wife, Teresa "Terri" Rose Foulk. Terri lived on a farm and Larry, a city boy, endeared himself to his future father in law Milford "Mickey" by helping with chores. His future mother in law, Anita "Nettie," wasn't as easily won over; having Catholic grandbabies was her priority. Without the blessing of their parents the young couple decided to elope and were married on May 13, 1964 across the state line in Missouri. This transgression was soon forgiven by Nettie when Larry converted to Catholicism followed by the birth of their first son, Larry "Danny" in 1967. The eager young couple soon had their second child, a daughter, Therese "Dawn" in 1969. After that things were a bit more planned and Michael "Mike" followed 4 years later, followed 4 years later by Monica, and finally another 4 years later by John. They lived in Wichita where Terri, a domestic master of all, stayed home with children as Larry honed his trade culminating in master finishing carpenter. Larry was proud of the work he had done as a construction superintendent on many Wichita landmarks, but his family remembers mostly the beautiful pieces of furniture he made for his parents in law and his beloved wife. The couple planned and saved and eventually built their dream house in 1983 just west of Schulte, KS. Schulte is where they would join St. Peter's parish and where their younger children were educated. Sadly, Terri was diagnosed with recurrent breast cancer shortly thereafter and died after a long battle in 1985. He was heartbroken but sought and found a partner to help raise his children. He married Mary Nuessen-Sponsel and expanded his family by adopting Jason and Sharon, her children from a prior marriage. They divorced after 7 years and Larry met his final partner Juana Lippincott, who cared for him until his death. Larry acted as a surrogate father and grandfather to Juana's daughter Theresa and her children Justice, Liberty, and Journey.  Larry was a lover of nature, cars, and storytelling. He served proudly in the Kansas Army National Guard. He is survived by his children son Danny and wife Brenda, daughter Dawn and husband Allen Schrandt, son Mike and wife Jennifer, daughter Monica and husband Brian Miller, and son John and husband Jason Miller, his grandchildren Christopher  and wife Tabitha, Adrean, Nathan, Tayte, Taylor, Natalie, , Jacob, Garrett, Logan, Elizabeth, Ethan, and Marie, great grandchildren Marissa and Lilian  all of the Wichita, KS area. Brother Bradley and husband Russ of Sun City West, AZ, sister Dianna and husband "Hippie" Coates of Mulberry, KS. He was preceded in death by his wife Terri, brother John "Dewayne", brother Donald "Don", and parents Maudie and John.

Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 both at St. Peter's Schulte Catholic Church.
