Larry Davison was born on July 6, 1946 in Ava, Missouri (Douglas County) to Oral and Ethel Davison. Larry was the fourth of their seven children. The family moved around so he attended schools in California, Kansas, and Missouri, but graduated high school in 1964 from Porterville Union High School.  He joined the navy in 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1972 as a sonar technician second class. In May 1973, he married Cindy Weikal. Larry studied the Bible with Neil and Gavin Carlsen which motivated him to dedicate his life to Jehovah on May 2, 1976. Later that same year, Drake, the first of his two children was born. Just over four years later he would welcome his daughter, Jessica. Larry had the privilege of attending the 1978 International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses in St. Louis, MO. He also served as a ministerial servant in the congregation up until his death on August 6, 2024.

Larry loved sports. He was passionate about his St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas State Wildcats. He also cheered on the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders. He had a lifelong love of antique cars and fishing. Larry was a hard worker, and mostly engaged in mechanical maintenance for several companies throughout his work career. He could diagnose and repair just about anything , even if it meant at times disregarding what some might consider "code" or safety guidelines. His home was full of different types of clocks that would chime throughout the home every 15 minutes (give or take a minute or so).Larry enjoyed going for a drive, including many road trips to various destinations or no destination at all. There was not a meal that he did not salt, he had even been observed salting coffee and beer. However, Larry's greatest love was his family.  He was dearly loved and will be missed by family, friends and many more whose lives crossed paths with his.
