Larry Dale Bulla, 81, of Colwich, KS, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. He was
born January 3, 1942, in Wichita, KS, the son of Francis and Ruth (Delehoy) Bulla.
Larry worked at Boeing after high school before choosing a career in law enforcement. Larry
served on the Wichita Police Department for 11 years while attending night school for his
bachelor's degree. He spent 21 years as the Security and Safety Supervisor at Dillons. After
retiring from Dillons, he worked at Spirit Aero Systems for 7 years.
In his free time Larry enjoyed cooking and competing in Chili Cookoffs.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Ruth Bulla; son Vance Bulla; and his
siblings, Bill Bulla, Robert Bulla, and Jackie (Bulla) Perez.
Survivors include his children, Brandon (Bethany) Bulla of Valley Center, KS; Jared (Lacy) Hill of
Bentley, KS; Justin (Donetta) Hill of Emporia, KS; and Kerry (Cody) Walters, of Dodge City, KS;
seven grandchildren; and fiancé Evelyn Hunt of Augusta, KS.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at First Evangelical Free
Church; 1825 N Woodlawn, Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the
Wichita Police Benefit Fund or Kansas Concerns of Police Survivors.
