Obituary

Kristi Renee Marotta, age 61, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 22, 1964, in Denver, Colorado, Kristi was the cherished daughter of Robert Tyler and Rita Louise Tyler. A woman of ambition and heart, Kristi graduated from WTI in 2013. For the past 12 years, she dedicated herself to her career as a phlebotomist—a role she truly loved. Known for her upbeat/cheerful personality and unwavering dedication, Kristi's colleagues and patients alike adored her. Her signature "Good Morning" smile was a bright light to everyone she encountered.

Outside of her professional life, Kristi found simple joys in nurturing her plants and the thrill of a good shopping trip. She was well-known for her quick wit, often jokingly telling her husband, Mike, "It was on sale!"

Above all, Kristi cherished the time spent with her family and close friends. She will be forever remembered for her joyful spirit, her selfless nature, and her unique ability to see the kindness in everyone she met. She truly loved to love.

Kristi was preceded in death by her father, Robert Tyler, and her mother, Rita Louise Tyler.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 16 years, Mike Marotta; her two bonus children, Nicole Hill and her husband Dallas, and Garett Marotta and his wife Michelle; and four beautiful grandchildren Alexis, Greyson, Elliana and Kaydence. She also leaves behind her sister, Lori Tyler; her niece, Casey Gilliand; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will deeply miss her presence.

Kristi's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
