It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Kenneth Antone "Kenny" Vonfeldt, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away at home on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 at the age of 79.

Kenny will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to family and friends. He possessed a rare selflessness, always prioritizing the needs of others above his own. His kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed.  Kenny brought so much light, laughter and love to everyone who knew him.

A thoughtful phone call, message, meme, comic or a box at the door with the latest technology were some of the many small ways he showed he cared. Kenny never turned down a request for help, providing guidance and expertise that still let you feel a sense of accomplishment while learning something in the process.  He was multi-talented and shared his skills freely.  Whether helping to install an attic fan via long distance phone call or setting up security cameras to monitor at home pets, he knew or researched the "better" way to do almost anything, and he was usually right.

Kenny was a fierce friend, loyal to a fault and the kind of pet parent that made reincarnation as his pet, enviable goal.  Speaking on behalf of my siblings we were fortunate to have Kenny as a brother, with him, our lives have been immeasurably richer, more interesting and fun. He will be missed.

Kenny was born on October 23rd, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Robert J. Vonfeldt and Helen L. Ziegler Vonfeldt. He graduated from Andover High School in 1964 and then enlisted in the US Air Force. After completing basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas and electronics technical training at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, he was deployed to Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam.  He returned to Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota to complete his military service.

Following his military service, Kenny operated several businesses in Wichita, Central Station nightclub, Meadow Lake Beach and McGraw's nightclub in Wichita and Hutchinson, Kansas. Following his love for all electronics, for many years he repaired electronic equipment for Diamond Medical Supply.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Jerry Vonfeldt, Donald Vonfeldt and Thomas Vonfeldt.  Kenny is survived by his brother David Vonfeldt (Barbara) of Topeka, KS; sisters, Rita Aitken (Robert, deceased) of Phoenix, AZ, Ruth Holland (Gary) of Andover, KS and sisters-in-law Jenny Vonfeldt (Thomas, deceased) of Belle Plaine, KS  and Janet Vonfeldt (Frank Bland) of Eureka Springs, AK.

Nieces and nephews; Erin Vonfeldt (Brittney), Morgan Vonfeldt, Jennifer Bennett (Klinten), Brian Vonfeldt (Christina), Linden Aitken, Gillian Aitken, Cody Holland (Sydney), Emily Anderson (Greg), Matt Vonfeldt, Tyler Vonfeldt and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Cremation at Baker Funeral home in west Wichita.  Private interment at Calvary Cemetery in Wichita with military funeral honors and a celebration of his life is planned.
