Kenneth Wesley Carleton

Kenneth Wesley Carleton (Wes), 70, of Winfield KS, passed away Monday, August 24th, 2026 at Wesley Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on January 25th, 1956 in Warrensburg, MO, the son of Kenneth Carleton and Marjorie (Hough) Call.

Wes went to high school in El Dorado, KS. In his younger years, he worked in the automotive field and loved rebuilding hot rods. Wes dedicated more than 25 years at Boeing Aircraft Company as a Lead Inspector, sometimes even traveling to Germany for inspecting new machines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie Call and Kenneth Carleton; and brother, Dennis "Scott" Carleton. Survivors include his three daughters, Janna Roberts (George); Laci Guthery; Leslie Hutson; Weston Carleton (Terrysa). Wes was a dedicated father raising three girls and was later blessed with a boy. He is also survived by grandchildren, Huxley Carleton; Hartley Carleton; Garrett Hutson; Gavin Hutson (Morgan); Gunner Hutson (Dalanie); JC Roberts; Cooper Roberts; Anisa Sampson; Christian Sampson; Levi Guthery; Sophia Guthery; and Isabella Guthery. Great grandkids, Grayson Hutson; Isla Hutson; and his brother Russell Carleton (Elaine).

After his retirement, Wes enjoyed going to Nascar races, fishing, football games, and going to the casino. Our dad was an all-around Mr. Fix It who taught us a lot of life lessons when we were growing up. He wasn't perfect, but we knew that he loved us. He was a good provider and did what he could with what he had after dealing with his own losses. A memorial service will be held at a later date amongst family and friends.
