Obituary

Keith Edward Guthrie, 82, of Inman Kansas passed away Friday, August 15th, 2025 peacefully in his sleep. He was born June 27, 1943 in Newton Kansas, the fifth of five children, born to George Wayne Guthrie and Marjorie (Sauerwein) Guthrie.

Keith attended schools in Peabody Kansas and later graduated from Kansas State University and Baker University with degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering. He also attained an MBA in Business.

After his graduation Keith served in the Air National Guard Reserve.

Keith was a plant manager with Bendix King/King Radio/Allied Signal Aerospace throughout the United States and Canada over the course of his lengthy career.

During this time Keith married Claudia Pierce and their daughter Stacy was born.

For several years after his retirement from AlliedSignal Keith worked at AGCO Corp in Hesston Kansas.

In 2006 Keith founded Sundance Farm, a nonprofit organization that worked with children with disabilities and the elderly with his miniature horses. He spent many happy days taking his miniature horses to senior care facilities and giving carriage rides to children with disabilities using his specially adapted carriage.

Keith married his wife Stephanie on February 7, 2004 and they made their home in Inman Kansas.  She survives.

Additionally, he is survived by his brother Gene of Conroe Texas, daughter Stacy Weilert, her husband Monte and their three children, Shelby, Macy and Cristian and great granddaughter Parker of Hays Kansas and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sundance Farm to assist in the ongoing work that he cherished so dearly.

A private family burial will take place at a later date.
