Katherine Marlene McLellan Katherine (Kathy) Marlene McLellan, 65, of Wichita, Kansas, passed  away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at home, with her beloved dog Zeke by her side. Born March 17,  1960, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Kathy was the daughter of Richard and Patricia (Baptiste) Hughes.

She grew up in Eugene, Oregon, and attended Sheldon High School. Kathy was known for her  generous spirit, her love of animals, and her deep appreciation for music and dancing. Her home was  often a refuge for pets in need, and her kindness extended to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth McLellan (2000), and her parents, Richard  and Patricia Hughes. Kathy is survived by her son, Zachary R. Miller (Carolyn) of Wichita, KS; daughter,  Felicity A. DeVaughn (Mitchell) of Kennesaw, GA; sisters Karen(Potsy) Christopherson (Ed) of Springfield,  OR, and Lisa Looney (Will) of Scappoose, OR; brothers Joseph Hughes (Charlotte) of Springfield, OR, and  Richard (Rick) Hughes (Stacey) of Wichita, KS; and two grandsons.
