Karen El-Vera Tafoya, born June 22, 1934, in Utah, passed away at the age of 91, on February 22, 2026, at the medical lodge of Independence, KS.

Karen married Robert Bruce Tafoya on December 1, 1951, and lost him at the age of 84, on May 13, 2015.  She is survived by 4 sons, 4 daughters and 23+ grandchildren.  She also has 50+ great grandchildren and several great- great grandchildren that she never had the pleasure of meeting.

Funeral services will be on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:00 am at gravesite located at Greenwood Cemetery 6231 W 47th St, Wichita, KS 67215.
