Obituary

Karen Susanne Sucher, 76, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at home surrounded by family. She was Born October 9, 1949, in Wichita to Rita Mae and Donald Howard Smith.

Karen graduated from Wichita North High in 1967. She married the love of her life, Michael Lynn Sucher on April 20th, 1968, and together they built a lifelong companionship of unconditional love with three children.

Karen was a gifted and creative soul with an extraordinary talent for making everything around her beautiful. Whether you were family, friend, or even a stranger in need, Karen's door was always open. Her generosity had no bounds, and her heart was as vast as her ability to care for others.

Karen is preceded in death by her mother Rita Mae Smith, father Donald Howard Smith, husband Michael Lynn Sucher, great grandson Naylor Raiburn, and great granddaughter Schreiber.

Karen is survived by her brothers, Mark Smith and Matt Smith; daughter Tricia Nicks, daughter Jennifer Snodgrass and her husband Alex Snodgrass, son Joshua Sucher and his wife Casey Ritchie, grandchildren Hannah Cook, Lauren Henning, Craig Nicks, Austin Snodgrass, Madison Snodgrass, Alexis Snodgrass, Keegan Snodgrass, Ainsley Sucher, and Abram Sucher, and great grandchildren Laikyn Cook, Rowan Cook, Copelynn Snodgrass - Troyer, Ridge Raiburn, Ryker Raiburn, and Lofton Raiburn.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:00a.m. on Friday, February 14th, 2025 at Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N. Meridian Ave, Wichita, Kansas 67204.  Join the family in the Harbor Room located on the south side of the building.
