Obituary

Julia Linda Moberly, 62, of Wichita, Ks. Passed away at home on January 23, 2026. Julia was born on December 27, 1963 in Saitama-Ken, Japan. She was the daughter of Edmond A. Woodcox and Lucilia Woodcox.

Julia graduated from Southeast High School and attended classes at WSU. She loved traveling and learning new things. She and her husband traveled to almost every state west of the Mississippi together. The mountains were her favorite. She truly loved Yellowstone and visiting the national parks. Julia loved to cook and trying new foods. She also loved music, dancing, and she loved to laugh. Most of all she loved worshipping Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and loving her family.


She married Richard William Moberly on April 9, 1988. They had 39 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Lucy Woodcox.


Survivors include husband Richard Moberly of Wichita, Ks; daughter Leah Peter (Clint) of Augusta,  Ks; stepson Rick Moberly II (Talia) of Portland Oregan; brother Ed Woodcox (Christine) of West Monroe, New York; sister Sharon Mullaney of Gallatin, Tennessee; Grandchildren Kaleb Peter, Mariah Peter, Elijah Peter, Zora Moberly, and Lev Moberly.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Woodlawn Baptist Church 960 S. Woodlawn Blvd. Wichita, Ks. 67218
