Joyce Anne (Payne) Johnson, 85, of Augusta, KS, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was born on February 4, 1940, in Fort Scott, KS.

Preceded in death by her parents, Earl C. and Belva L. (Simons) Payne and granddaughter, Jordan Rene "JoJo" Shores.

Survivors include her children, Malinda (Ron) Shores of Douglass, KS, Mitch Johnson of Wichita and Matthew (Kim) Johnson of Wichita. Grandchildren Jenna (Will) Whitehead, Zachary (Kelsi) Johnson, Sr., Victoria Johnson, Kaitlyn Johnson, Lane (Olivia) Johnson, Luke (Kristin) Johnson. Great grandchildren Addy Whitehead, Preslie Whitehead, Zachary Johnson, Jr., Easton and Miles Johnson and Whitten and Wesley Johnson. Brothers Gene (Nancy) Payne of Fort Scott and Jerry Payne of Wichita and numerous nieces and nephews.

No funeral services at this time but a private family gathering will be held at a later date in Fort Scott, KS.
