JoRetta Cooley, 84, of Augusta, KS passed away Monday July 21, 2025, in Augusta surrounded by her family. She was born July 25, 1941, in Butler County, Kansas to Marsh and Marjorie Ralston.

JoRetta worked for many years at Beech Aircraft, then later became an avid housekeeper. She enjoyed garage sales and thrift shopping with her friends and family. As a child and during her teen years she spent many hours riding horseback. She married Johnny Lee Cooley in 1969, he proceeded her in death September 11, 2011, after 42 years of marriage. She was also proceeded in death by her parents Marsh and Marjorie Ralston, sister Marsha Clark, son Christopher "Alan" Maier, and great-granddaughter Harper Gregg.

Survivors include daughter Stephanie Maness (Perry), son Mike Maier, son Tony Cooley (Jolenna), and brother-in-law Lyle Clark, all of Augusta. Grandchildren Rebecca Fletchall (Jason), Chad Maness (Stormi), Ashton Conner (Brady), Mikayla Cooley (Chase Stough), Sierra Cooley, Nigel Callison, Austin Cooley (Kylie Walker) and 16 great-grandchildren with one due in October.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday July 25, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Highway 54 west of Augusta, Ks.
