Jon "Craig" Heide passed from this life on October 18th, 2024 in Towanda, KS after a long illness.

He was born in Kingman, KS on January 13, 1957, the son of Powell and Mary Hart Heide. They preceded him in death along with his baby brother Cory Lee Heide and sister Terry Sue Heide Bauman.

He resided in Pretty Prairie, KS, Ellinwood, KS, and Clifton, KS, graduating in 1975. He attended K-State and Emporia State University following high school.

Survivors include his brother Monte Heide of rural Augusta, his sister Mariann Heide Affolter, and husband Randy of Clifton, KS, sons Alan Heide and wife Julie, grandson Branson and granddaughter Josie, of Shawnee, KS, son Jay of El Dorado, and the mother of his sons Diane Milbourn of Topeka. He also left behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and
cousins.

Cremation was chosen. The family will inter his ashes at the family plot in Leon, KS at a later date.

Our wishes in his memory include being kind to one another and showing compassion for those souls who are less fortunate and suffer from addiction and mental illness. God has a place in heaven for them too. He will be sorely missed by his family and caregivers. You couldn't help but love him.
