John Edward Case, age 70, passed away in his home on February 9, 2023.

John was born on April 25,1952 to Harry G. and Margaret (Linkletter) Case in Catskill, NY.

John attended Coxsackie-Athens Elementary and High School and graduated in 1970. To his classmates he was known as "The Siren." Before entering the United States Air Force, John was a member of Coxsackie Hose Co. #3. He completed the Veterinary Specialist Course in the USAF in March 1971. His military service is what brought him to Wichita, KS. Where he completed EMT training, and then his Paramedic training and worked for Butler County EMS from 1977-1997 until transferring and serving out the remainder of his Paramedic career at Sedgwick County EMS.

John was an avid Chiefs and Yankees fan; we know he is smiling about the recent second Super Bowl win by Andy Reid and Co.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Peg Case, wife Victoria Landis Case, and son, Jeff Case.

John is survived by son Josh Case, daughters Erin Sanger (Bryan) and Carleigh Case, and daughter in law, Robyn Case.  3 granddaughters: Payton Sanger, Rylee Sanger and Elliotte Case, 6 grandsons: Aidan Case, Quentin Case, James Sanger, Eamon Sanger, Isaac Case and Jaxon Case, and sister Irene Bergman (Bill) along with two nieces and two nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 17th at 10:00 am. At The Point Events Center, 2101 Dearborn St. Unit 101, Augusta, KS 67010.   In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hickory Hollow Animal Refuge: 14297 SE Cole Creek Rd, Leon, KS 67074.
