In Loving Memory of Jo Ann (Jody) Vogel

Jo Ann (Jody) Vogel, age 94, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20th, due to complications from CPD. Born in Attica, Kansas, Jody moved to Wichita at the age of 13 and attended Planeview High School. She married Monte William Freeman in 1948, and together they built a life full of love and family.

Jody was a dedicated homemaker, known for her passion for cooking and her creative talents in crafting. She also found immense joy in her role as a volunteer grandmother for St. Anne's Catholic Church, where she shared her warmth and kindness with the community. Her generosity and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Jody was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Vern Macy; her sister, Barbara Hendley; her brothers, Paul, Charles, and Ron Macy; her daughter, Mary Adrian; her husband Monte William Freeman; and her second husband, William Gerald Vogel.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Susan Estes; her son, Mark Freeman, and daughter-in-law, Victoria Freeman; her stepdaughter, Valerie Jordan; and her stepson, Rick Vogel. Jody's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Aaron Freeman, Jesse Freeman, Joshua Adrian, Michael Jordan, Chasity Adrian, Jautana Bennett, Cameron Adrian, and Christa Treat.

Jody's strength, love, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A remembrance service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, located 1/2 mile south of Danville, Kansas, on April 5th at 2:00 PM. Attendees are invited to dress casually in Jody's honor.
