Jessica Erin Somers, 39, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on January 30, 2024, at her home in Wichita. She was born on February 27, 1984, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

Jessica was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother. She is survived by her mother, Alice Somers, her sister, Sarah Somers, and her son, Chase Somers. She was preceded in death by her father, Tim Somers, her brother, Joshua Somers, and her cousin, Samuel Query. Jessica also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues who will cherish her memory.

Jessica attended McPherson High School and later pursued higher education at Hutchinson Community College. She was passionate about her career as a nurse, working in the SICU, and caring for the individuals of her community. At the time of her passing, she was employed at Wesley Medical Center, where her dedication and compassion continued to touch the lives of many.

Beyond her professional life, Jessica dedicated over 25 years to the International Order of Rainbow for Girls in Kansas. She held many state offices in her youth and continued her tenure as a member of the Grand Executive Committee. She was known for her excellent memory work and found joy in mentoring young girls within the organization. Jessica's commitment to Kansas Rainbow was a testament to her kind and caring nature.

A ceremony to celebrate Jessica's life will take place on February 10th, 2024, at 10 am at Calvary United Methodist Church located at 2525 N Rock Rd, Wichita, KS 67226.
