Jere Douglas Norland, 76, of Oxford, Kansas, left us peacefully on December 28th, 2024. A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Jere will always be remembered for his bright and generous personality. Frequently supporting the local school sports events and supporting them at many games.

Born on June 6, 1948, in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, Jere was the eldest of four children of Cecil and Laurella Norland. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Steve and Rick. His only remaining sibling is Kila Parker of Abbyville, Kansas. Jere graduated from Topeka High School in 1966. He worked with his father, Cecil, in drywall at the age of 14 and continued to work for 62 years in this field, which he enjoyed.

Jere was survived by his life partner Nenita Ward, and his children, Charolette Rawling, Cassie Douglas, Jennifer Norland, Jamie Dowler, Daryl Ward, and Hunter Norland. His grandchildren are Dustin Rawlings, Heaven Conaway, Lexus Douglas, Signal Douglas, Jenna Dowler, Randy Norland, and Jon Norland. As well as his great-grandchildren Sylvie, Eloise, Eve, Ella, James, Bailey, Cress, Jared, and Tatum.
