Janice Kathleen Britton, 75, retired North Carolina State Department of the Blind Counselor and Regional Manager,  passed away on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024 in Wichita,  Kansas.

Janice was born June 3rd, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas to her parents  Howard and Edna Hake.  She graduated in 1970 from Kansas State University and  received her Masters Degree from Wichita State University.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert  (Bob) E. G. Britton, Jr. and her sister-in-law Donna Hake.

Janice is survived by her son, David Michael Britton of Wichita, Kansas her step-sons Bob Britton III of Arkansas, Mark Britton  (Venus) of Texas and their children, her siblings, brother James Hake of Stratton, Colorado, brother David Hake of Wichita,  Kansas and sister Carolyn Woodman (Wolfgang), of Wichita,  Kansas, many nieces and nephews and many friends.

A viewing at Baker Funeral Home, 6100 E Central in Wichita will  be on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  Graveside services to follow at 2 pm at White Chapel Memorial  Gardens, 1824 North Oliver Avenue, Wichita.

Memorial contributions  may be sent to the American Diabetes  Association in memory of Jan's beloved husband Bob.
