Janet Arlene Lively, 85, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, April 21st at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 28th, 1940, in Wichita, Kansas, to Alonzo and Mary (Smally) Williams. Janet attended Wichita East High School. She then married and devoted her life to her family and her church.

She married Jerry Bowers in 1955. They were married for 8 years and had 4 children. Children from her first marriage are; Kim Bowers, Breck Bowers, Darla (Bowers)Boots, and Teresa Bowers.

She married Michael Lively in December of 1966. They were married for 59 years and had 2 children. Lisa (Lively) Coleman, and Chris Lively.

She was the heart of her family and made a lasting impact on her children and community.  She was active in her church and charity work.

Janet was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also member of Apple Core and United Women of Faith. She led multiple bible studies and taught Sunday school. She received a Special Mission Recognition on October 12th, 2015, from United Methodist Women at Wichita First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Bowers of Wichita, KS, her son, Breck Bowers of Tarpon Springs, FL, her daughter, Darla (Bowers) Boots of Clearwater, KS, her daughter, Teresa Bowers of Colorado Springs, CO, her daughter, Lisa (Lively) Coleman of Wichita, KS, and her son, Chris Livley of Wichita, KS; 9 Grand Children and 5 Great Grand Children.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 29th at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Wichita, Kansas with reception to follow. The burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas at 12:00 p.m.
