Jamie Christine Scott

Jamie Christine Scott, 57, of Arkansas City, Ks, passed away on June 14th, 2026 at Alderbrook Assisted Living in Ark City.

Graveside services will be held at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ark City at 10:00 am, on Monday, June 22, 2026. Contributions in her name can be made at the Humane Society.

Jamie was born August 8, 1968, in Jefferson MO, to Gary and Cheryl (Burr) Haynes. Above all, Jamie was a dedicated and loving mother. She found her greatest joy in life simply caring for her children and being surrounded by her family.

Though she was a homebody who preferred the comfort of her own surroundings, her home was always filled with warmth and love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remember for hard devotion to her family, her gentle spirit, and the way she always made sure her loved ones felt cherished.

She is survived by her children: Marty Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Courtney Akers ( and partner Greg), Tyson (Meraflor) Scott; her grandchildren: Alexis, Trevor, Hunter, Mackenzie-Kate, Jace, Tyler, and Chevy; her siblings: Gary Haynes Jr, Sherry (Steven) Bratcher, Wendy Norman, Troy (Janae) Haynes; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jamie is preceded in death by her parents Gary and Cheryl; her grandson Korbin Anderson.
