Jamie Lee Gaskill, 40, passed away on February 13, 2026, in Derby. She was born on December 6, 1985, in Arkansas City, where she was raised and where so many of her memories were made.

Jamie graduated from Arkansas City High School in 2004. Not long after, she became a mom — the role she was most proud of. Her son, Nathan, looked just like her, and she loved him with a fierce, unconditional love. He was her heart.

Jamie was tough as nails, strong-willed, and full of spunk. She was the ultimate tomboy. She loved fishing, playing in the dirt, and being outdoors whenever she could. Nature was her happy place. She didn't mind getting her hands dirty and never pretended to be anything she wasn't. What you saw was what you got — real, loyal, and strong.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Milo and Elenor Glodowski, and Calvin and Connie Swisher. In her final days, Jamie shared that she could see her grandparents waiting for her. That gives us comfort now — believing she was welcomed with open arms by the family who went before her and that she is finally at peace.

She leaves behind her beloved son, Nathan Becker of Arkansas City; her father, Jim Glodowski of Arkansas City; her mother and stepfather, Christina Gaskill and David Essary of Derby; her sister and brother-in-law, Hollie and Derick Earls of Winfield; her nephews, Zerrick, Grayson, and Milo; and her niece, Myda, all of Winfield — along with many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.

Jamie's final wishes were to be cremated and, at a later time, taken to a special place with her best friend, Heather, who recently passed away from cancer. A private ceremony will be held in her honor.

Our family would like to thank the hospice team for the incredible compassion and support they gave Jamie and all of us during her final days. We are also deeply grateful for the prayers, messages, and love shown by so many.

Jamie lived life in her own way — strong, stubborn, outdoorsy, and full of heart. She loved hard, especially her son. That love is the legacy she leaves behind.

Your mom loved you more than words could ever express. You were her greatest pride and her deepest joy. She saw herself in you, and that always made her smile. Carry her strength, her spunk, and her fierce heart with you as you grow. She will always be a part of you — in your smile, in your courage, and in the way you love. She is forever proud of you.
