JACOB AIRIK MCGEE


Jacob Airik McGee age 30 of Derby, Kansas passed away on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.  Surrounded by family, he went peacefully after fighting since September 13th, 2024 after a tragic motorcycle accident.

Born October 26, 1993 he attended Curtis Middle School in Wichita, KS and Attica HS, in Attica, Ks.  Jacob was a long-time employee of Rick's Appliance in Wichita and was previously the maintenance manager at the Hampton Inn and Suites at the Mulvane Casino.  Jacob had just become a full member of the Brother's Keepers motorcycle club and had been devoting his time and energies to the members and their charitable events.  A brotherhood of friends and like- minded individuals became his extended family who happen to ride motorcycles.  He was also active in the D&D community and just loved any renaissance festival.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Alan and Teresa McGee, and his maternal grandparents, Billy and Phebe McCulloch all of Belle Plaine, KS.  Brothers Brian McGee and spouse Lola, Phillip McGee and spouse Stephanie all of Wichita, KS.  Uncles Jeff McGee and spouse Melanie of Arlington TX, Terry McCulloch of Wellington, KS, and Micheal McGee, of Baltimore, Md.  Aunts Tammy Moore and spouse Kenny of Wellington, KS, Tina Thompson and spouse Micheal of Belle Plaine KS, and Michelle McGee of Baltimore, Md.  Also surviving are numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Preceding Jacob in death were his paternal grandparents, Howard and Carol McGee of Attica, Ks, and his beloved sister Stephanie McGee of Wichita, KS

Celebration of life will be held at the VFW, 4950 Vanderhoff Circle,  Wichita KS on Sunday, November  3rd, 2024 from 1-3 pm.  Anyone who was touched by Jacob's life is welcome to this casual come and go get together.  The family and friends will be providing some of his favorite foods and cake.
