Helen Alliston peacefully passed away the evening of Monday, September 23rd, 2024. She was born June 10th, 1935, to Roy and Doris Broadey in Miami, Oklahoma.
She graduated from East High School, Wichita, KS in 1954, following high school she attended Oklahoma Christian College. While attending a church skating party she met her husband Albert Leroy Alliston. They were married on September 20, 1959, and together they built a family with three children. She and Al settled in Wichita where she was a homemaker and spent her time raising her three children. While being at home with the children she enjoyed several creative activities. She was a hairdresser; she loved to bake and make specialty cakes such as wedding and birthday cakes. But most of all she loved her time spent in the church. Since one can remember she and Al have always been loyal members to the Church of Christ. She was a woman of faith and built her legacy through the love of God.
Helen enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. She and Al enjoyed many adventures in their travels, from trips to Hawaii, to trips to California and many more.
She was proceeded in death by her father, and mother Roy and Doris Broadey, and her sister that passed as an infant.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Al; son, Douglas (Lorna), daughter, Gayle (Skip) Koster, and son David (Koren); grandchildren James (Amanda), Melissa, Jordan, Jacie, Marie, Jared, and 3 great grandchildren; Lily, and twins Haley and Lucy.
Viewing is 5:00 pm–7:00 pm Monday, September 30th at Baker Funeral Home, 6100 East Central. Service is 10:00 am Tuesday at Northside Church of Christ, 4545 N Meridian. Wichita KS 67204. Memorial may be given to, Know Your Bible, 4545 N Meridian. Wichita, KS 67204.
