Gilbert Glen Dalluge was born on June 22, 1925, in Decatur, Illinois, to William H. and Clessie  (Colclasure) Dalluge. He entered his heavenly home on November 29, 2025. Glen's siblings are  David Dean Dalluge (wife Betty), William H. Dalluge, Jr. (wife Nelda), and Gladys Ellen (True) Dexter (husband Tom).

Glen grew up in Blue Mound, Illinois, and was baptized at First Christian Church on April 15,  1935, by Rev. Curtis M. Wright. He graduated from Blue Mound High School in 1943 and, after  being disqualified for military service due to an accidental shotgun injury to his ankle, he  accepted a job as a shipyard mechanic at Pearl Harbor until the end of WWII. He then returned  to Ft. Sheridan, Illinois, as a civil service employee for a short time. In 1946, he joined the US  Occupation Force, taking a civilian service job in Nagoya, Japan. In September 1952, he  returned to Blue Mound, where he served as the Acting Postmaster for a short time before  becoming an Assistant Manager at the Blue Mound Grain & Fertilizer Company. He then worked  for Phillips Petroleum Co. as a traveling salesman based in Illinois, then in Manhattan, Kansas,  until his retirement in 1988.

Glen married Takako ("Tak") Kitamura in Nagoya, Japan, on January 7, 1951. They were blessed  with 3 sons: Paul (wife Maurine) of Indianola, Iowa, Mike of Springfield, Illinois, and Steve of  Wichita, Kansas. Takako died on February 2, 2002, after a lengthy, courageous struggle with Parkinson's disease.

On May 17, 2003, Glen married Arlone Ritter. He assimilated well into his new family, developing  a special fondness for Arlone's children and their families, including stepdaughter Nancy  (husband Mark) Hanover and stepson Tom Ritter (wife Diana). Arlone died in April of 2024.

One of Glen's passions was Rotary. The Rotary Club of Decatur, Illinois, recently recognized him  for 70 years of membership.

Our family is thankful that Glen was able to enjoy his 100th birthday party we threw for him in  June - many precious memories were created.

Survivors include sister: Gladys, sons: Paul (wife Maurine), Mike, and Steve, grandsons: James  (wife Kathryn), Robert (wife Emily), Derek (wife Danielle), and Kyle, and 3 great granddaughters. Glen is also survived by Nancy (Ritter) Hanover and Diana Ritter.

And our family owes a huge debt of gratitude to the Ritter family for their loving care and  support for Glen over the years.

In keeping with Glen's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service and  burial will be held at a later date.
