Gilbert A. Barthold Jr., 68, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 22,  2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 17, 1957, in San Antonio to Aurelia  and Gilbert Barthold Sr.

Gilbert will be remembered as a devoted husband, caring family man, and loyal friend. His  humor, generosity, and strong sense of character left a lasting impact on everyone who  knew him. He had a love for life's simple pleasures — good food, good company, and time  spent with family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kitty Barthold; his sister, Amelia; his stepson, Jesse Dyke;  as well as his cherished nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, all of whom brought him  immense joy and pride.

Gilbert's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His life was a testament  to kindness, strength, and the value of family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 7th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Prairie  Homestead Senior Living Chapel, 1605 W. May St., Wichita, KS 67213.
