George R. Perry, 82 of Mulvane KS went home to be with the Lord Nov 12.  He was born in Wyandotte Oklahoma on December 13, 1941, and was a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.  He lived in Oklahoma with his siblings and parents as a young child.  His family moved to Boise, Idaho in his youth where he worked with his father in construction.  He was in continuous search of a better life.  He moved his young family up and down the west coast for 30 years looking for construction jobs.  At one point he co-owned a construction company in southern California, American Builders.

After a few marriages he chose to move east to Kansas, Colorado and Mississippi.  With traveling in his blood, he finally chose to stay in Kansas the rest of his life.

Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents, George H Perry (father) and Levora Revels Perry (mother), Pricilla Perry Brooks (sister), Carroll P. Perry (brother), 3 infant siblings Danny, Gail, and Kathy.  He is survived by daughters Brenda Perry of Mulvane, Ks, Kimberly Perry Toupin (Raymond) of Kingman, AZ, son Major (retired) Rondal R. Perry (Kristen) of Charlotte, NC, brothers Linnis Perry (Susan) Tacoma, WA, Larry Perry (Linda) Boise, ID, Harlin Perry Westville, OK.

Mr. Perry had 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren that brought him the most joy in life.  With many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Perry was never fond of the idea of a funeral so the family will be gathering together Sunday Nov. 17 for a private celebration of life.  We know he has been greeted at the pearly gates by his younger brother Carroll and we are overjoyed by the hope he had in Christ and eternal life.
