George Edwin Clark, Jr., 75, of Wichita, KS passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, peacefully in his sleep at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 26, 1949, in Wichita, KS, the son of George Edwin Clark, Sr. and Juanita May Rossiter.

George graduated from East High School. After graduating, he immediately enlisted into the Army. Upon serving 4 years, he was honorably discharged, but his time spent in the Vietnam War as a flight mechanic led to his lifetime career choice.

Once he returned home, he continued to build his career as a flight mechanic through a couple aircraft companies. He began working at Cessna and built his knowledge for over 15 years. He eventually moved on from Cessna and continued to build his career for another 30 years at Learjet and retired in 2014.

Though his greatest lifetime achievement would be his children. He is survived by both his sons, Adam Eugene Clark, 52 and Carl Edwin Clark, 50, both from Wichita, KS, his ex-wife Theresa A. Clark from Wichita, KS, and sister Nanita (Bobby) M. Deringer from Wichita, KS. George is preceded in death by parents George E. Clark Sr. and Juanita M. Rossiter, and his sisters Marsha Y. Clark, Doris F. Combs, and Eileen A. Keith from Wichita, KS.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping. One of his favorite events was to attend the Bluegrass Festival every year he could make it. His favorite pastimes were his time spent with friends at the VFW and Bigz Bar and Grill. He was a man who was always full of humor and loved to share smiles through his social media interactions. He was a loved and cherished father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at VFW Post 3115. Family will announce privately once the date is determined.
