Farand W. Hoskins, 62 of Wichita, KS passed away on Tuesday, December 03, 2024. Farand, or Toy as he liked to be called, was born June 15, 1962, in Columbus, GA, the son of John and Christine Hoskins.

Farand (Toy) graduated from Kendrick High School in 1980. He served his country as an Army veteran, embodying the values of dedication and service throughout his life.

In 1989, Farand (Toy) became a police detective in the Larceny Unit with the Wichita Police Department. Toy was with the Wichita Police Department until he retired in 2018.

Farand (Toy) is survived by his granddaughters Essence Brown of Dallas, TX , Cierra Williams of Wichita, KS. Bonus daughter, Teaunya Edwards of Wichita, KS. Sister Martha Knight of Detroit, MI. Brothers John (Clay) Hoskins of Columbus, GA, Branden Hoskins of Virginia Beach. VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his brother Roderick Hoskins and parents.

A luncheon and celebration of Farand's life has been postponed. Services will be announced at a later date.
