Evertta Kay Gurney

Evertta "Eve" Gurney (83) of El Dorado, KS passed away on September 3, 2026.

Eve retired from the Butler County Courthouse in El Dorado, KS where she formed many wonderful friendships and memories.

On August 4, 1973, she married Lawrence (Larry) Gurney.  They spend a lifetime of making memories and enjoying their family of which they cherished and adored until Larry's passing in October 2001.

Eve touched many lives with her generous spirit, caring heart, and the genuine way she made others feel welcomed and loved.

Survivors include her children: Todd Plummer (Shelly), Lynda Queen, Larry Gurney (Annette), and Lora Walker.  Eve (Grammy) was happiest when talking about her 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren,

A celebration of life will be held for the family at a later date.
