Ed passed away peacefully at the age of 92, surrounded by family.

He is survived by his children, (Elizabeth) Schmitt, Anderson Schmitt, Nelson (Sue) Schmitt, Katrin (Michael) Enright, Denice Kellum, 8 Grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Naomi Schmitt, son, Edwin Schmitt II, mother of his children, Ila Schmitt, and his wife, Wanita Schmitt.

Ed was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and a kind and generous man who went above and beyond to help others.
