Edward James Skerl III, affectionately known as Eddie, passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 43 in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas.

Born and raised in Wichita, Eddie also spent parts of his childhood in Pennsylvania and Conway, South Carolina. A man who found joy in simple pleasures, Eddie had a deep love for cooking and catering. In recent years, he worked as a retail associate at Everton Liquor, where he enjoyed connecting with people from all walks of life.

Eddie's greatest pride and joy in life were his two daughters, Emmalyn (13) and Grace (11). Whether exploring nature trails, playing disc golf, or just spending quiet moments together, Eddie cherished every second with his girls. He considered fatherhood his greatest accomplishment, and it showed in the way he loved and supported them.

Eddie is survived by his beloved daughters, Emmalyn and Grace Skerl; his wife, Casey Skerl; his sister, Lindsey Seibel, and brother-in-law, Jeremy; and his niece, Annavella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judy Kay Skerl and Edward James Skerl II. He also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family who will miss his humor, kindness, and generous spirit.

A celebration of Eddie's life will be held on June 22, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Barrel Room at River City Brewery in Wichita, Kansas. Friends and family are invited to come together, share stories, and honor a life that touched so many.
