Earl Roy Andersen, 91, of Derby Kansas passed away on February 6th, 2026 following a fall in the driveway the week of Christmas.
He was preceded in death by his bride of 68+ years, 4 of their children, his parents Joseph and Alice Andersen of Evanston, Wyoming, sisters, Irene and Rae and brothers, Junior and Charles, 2 grandchildren.
He is survived by his sister Shirley Peterson, of Evanston Wyoming, son Earl Roy Andersen Jr. (Robin Bursey) Palm Bay Florida, Daughter Kathryn Abel (Timothy) Derby Kansas, Son Mark Jens Andersen (Tamyra) Granger Utah, Grandchildren, Rachel (Eddy) Sean (Courtney) Tyson (Michelle) Heather, Chandler (Megan)Christopher, Kayla (Daniel) Daniel (Tasha) Ben (Katie) Audrey, Paris , and 16 great grandchildren.
He left a legacy of Pride in the Service of his country, hard work and survival.
Served 22 years in the Navy. A cowboy by birth rite, he rode on the ranches he was raised on, Rode Bull and team roping with his brother in Rodeo, some of his favorite time was spent on the back of a horse, riding the land and breathing in fresh Wyoming air.
He was laid to rest on, what would have been his 92nd birthday, August 13th 2026. in the National Cemetery in Winfield Kansas with our mother by his side.
Our family is so grateful to all family and friends who have sent so much love, and Baker for the love and respect shown to us and our loved ones.
