Dunner Louis Raper

Dunner L. Raper, 67, passed away on September 4, 2026, following a courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Born in Wichita, Kansas, Dunner was the son of Louis Taylor Raper, Jr. and Wanda Raper, who later became Wanda McDonald. A dedicated and hardworking tradesman, he built a successful career as a master plumber and proudly owned and operated his own plumbing business for many years. Through his skill, integrity, and commitment to serving others, he earned the respect and friendship of countless customers and colleagues.

Dunner was devoted to his family and took great pride in being a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lori Raper, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage; his sons, Kevin Criman (Sara) and KC Raper, both of Wichita, Kansas; his sister, Trina Kramer (Mark) of Broussard, Louisiana; his niece, Crissy Brazill (Zac) of Lafayette, Louisiana; and his nephew, Tyler Ebling (Megan) of Lafayette, Louisiana.

He was a proud grandfather to Ryder, Westin, and Kingston Criman, and Tyson and Lucy Raper, all of whom brought great joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Taylor Raper, Jr.; his mother, Wanda McDonald; his stepfather, James McDonald; and his brother, Timothy L. Raper.

Dunner will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His strength, perseverance, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family will be remembered always. The legacy he leaves behind lives on through the many lives he touched, both personally and professionally.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Baker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at White Chapel Cemetery, 1806 N. Oliver Street, Wichita, Kansas 67212. Graveside services will be led by Senior Pastor Bill Vann. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at IASIS Christian Center, 1914 E. 11th Street North Wichita, Kansas.
