Obituary

Dorothy Elizabeth (Kohler) Guetschow was born on August 22, 1921 on a farm just outside of Cheney, Kansas to George E. Kohler and Minnie D.E. (Schierenbeck) Kohler. She was the oldest of 4 children. She married Herb Guetschow on February 14, 1954 at the Reformed Church in Cheney, KS. She passed away on November 2nd at Silver Linings Senior Living, Goddard, Ks.

She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Cheney, KS. and had been a member of the Ladies Aid and Erie EHU Homemakers Unit until they disbanded. Dorothy lived a life of service and many people were blessed by her talents and gifts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Minnie Kohler, her husband, Herb Guetschow, her brothers Wayne, Vernon and Clyde Kohler and their spouses. She is survived by her children, Diane Paneiko and Don (Connie) Guetschow. Her grandchildren, Brandi Inslee (John Pentlin), Brent (Morgan) Inslee, Kylie (Shane) Eisler, John Guetschow and step grandson, Nick Butterfield.

She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Brendon Inslee, Ella Eisler, Owen Eisler, Macy Eisler, Greyson Inslee, Raegan Guetschow and step great grandchildren, Blake Butterfield, Tucker Butterfield and Addilynn Butterfield.

Funeral services will be held at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 639 N. Lincoln Street, Cheney, Ks on November 9, 2023 at 10 AM with visitation from 9-10 am with the Reverend Tim Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Cheney. Memorials can be made to Silver Linings Senior Living PO Box 38 Goddard, Ks 67052
