Donald Wray Skinner passed away on September 1, 2024 at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, Kansas.

Donald was born on December 6, 1944 in Deer Creek, Kansas to the late Ralph Skinner and Dorothy (Holeman) Skinner. He spent his school years in Shidler, Oklahoma with his family. As a young 20's guitarist, Don played in Texas roadhouses with Willie Nelson. He spent 10 years in the Army including serving in Vietnam. Don's career endeavors included hamburger stand owner, tire store manager, over the road truck driver, and security guard.

Don was preceded in death by his longtime truck driving partner wife Wanda (Miller) Skinner and his brother James.

Burial in Winfield Veterans Cemetery.
