Donald Lee McKee, 76, of Wichita Kansas passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by his wife and children. Don was born March 9, 1949 in Wichita Kansas, son of Francis Marie (Herrman) and William Wesley McKee.

Don Graduated in 1967 from Wichita West High School. Don was a hard working man, owning his own roofing company to provide for his family. Don loved to fish, hunt, and loved tinkering with anything mechanical. Mostly he loved his family. Don loved his children and all his Grandbabies! Don saw the good in everybody. He helped without question, never asking for anything in return.

Don was saved, accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1982, baptized at Glenville Bible Baptist Church.

Don married Julia Pauline Poe on May 25, 1978.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and (sisters) Shirley Novotny and Bertha May Kinsey (Brother) William Ray McKee (Son) Michael Wade McKee.

Survivors include his wife, Julia McKee; (Brothers) Raymond Palmatier, David McKee and Gary Herrman; (Children) Tamela Hurst, Donald McKee Jr, Chad L Poe, and Darryl Ray McKee; Lots of cousins, loving nieces and nephews, 12 loving grandbabies and 7 amazing great grandbabies.

Graveside service will be on Wednesday August 13, 2025, 2:00 pm at White Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Alzheimer's Association.
