Donald Wesley Mauch, 84, of Lindsborg, Kansas, passed away on February 29, 2024, on his farm with his dog "Sweetie" by his side. He was born on August 10, 1939, in North Dakota to Fred and Ester Mauch. Don graduated from Lamar High School in Lamar, CO in 1957 and shortly afterwards met and married Margaret Hodges in Pritchett, CO on May 29th, 1960. After living 6 years in Colorado, Don and Margaret moved to Lindsborg, KS.  Six children were born to this union, Sharol, Donna, Tom, Sam, David, and Julie.

Don, known to many as Donnie, was a dedicated Farmer & Rancher throughout his entire life. Don was a member of the Lindsborg Masonic Lodge 397 for over 50 years.  Donnie enjoyed playing fast pitch softball, bowling, and going to the casino. Grandpa Donnie enjoyed providing the Great grandchildren and Grandchildren with popsicles when they visited the farm.

Don found solace and community at the New Gottland Covenant Church in McPherson, Kansas.

He will be deeply missed by his surviving 6 children: Sharol (Cole) McMahon, Donna (Chris) Edgar, Tom (Sandi) Mauch, Sam (Kelly Brown) Mauch, David (Cathy) Mauch, and Julie (Lucas) Skordahl. 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and his siblings Leslie Mauch, (CO) Twyla Batterton, (CO) and Delora Kollar (TX). Don is preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings, Grandson Jacob and loving wife, Margaret (53 years) and Kathryn (3 years)

A service to honor and remember Don's life will be March14th, 2024, at 10:30 am at the New Gottland Covenant Church in McPherson, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the New Gottland Covenant Church.

Don will be remembered for his hard work as a Farmer & Rancher, his love for his family & friends and giving the best hugs.  May he rest in peace.
