Sunday, March 10th 2024, Donald D. Hankins, 89, of Andover, KS, passed away peacefully at his home.

Born September 23rd, 1934 to Ruth and Olaf Hankins in Connewango, OK.

He worked at Beech Aircraft and then retired from Boeing. He was a machine operator.

Before his decline in health, he enjoyed spending time with family, camping at the lake, fishing and getting together with friends for card games. He would never turn down a game of Poker or Spades. He was a hardworking, busy man. He could fix or build anything. Don was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous and loyal to those he loved. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them. He will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his sister Helen Dennet, sons Doug Hankins and wife Wanda and Brian Hankins and wife Elizabeth, and daughter Marilyn Gibson, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A memorial will be held April 13th at 2 pm at his residence.
