Dennis Dean Bailey, 72, of Wichita, KS, passed away on November 30, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family. Dennis was born to Dean and Connie Bailey (Thompson) on January 13, 1951 in Wichita, KS. He loved talking to people. He could make a new friend just about anywhere- Walt Disney World, local garage sales, the grocery store.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Debbie, and two children, Deana Plume (husband Aaron), and Devin Turner (husband Matt). He is also survived by two grandchildren, Bailey (Plume) Rainwater (husband Daniel) and Morgan (Plume) Jessee (husband Skyler), all of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon Strong (husband Gary) and Barb Collins (husband Ryan) of Nebraska. Dennis was predeceased
by his father, Dean Bailey, step-mother, Marlene Bailey, and mother, Connie Thompson, and sister Linda Thompson.

His true love was his wife, Debbie. They were each other's rock. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters and had a very close family. Dennis loved to travel. Some of his favorite places were the Badlands in South Dakota, the mountains in Colorado, and family vacations to Walt Disney World. His second love after his family was his dogs. He was an animal lover and his dogs provided him with love and comfort in his final days.

Dennis loved his job working for United Airlines. He enjoyed his co-workers and meeting new people. He developed life-long friends while working at United in Wichita, Denver, and Tulsa. Dennis was also a fighter. He developed multiple myeloma, and survived for 20+ years, a brain aneurysm, had a pace- maker and defibrillator, a stroke, and beat lung cancer, and Sepsis. Dennis' wish is to be cremated and have his ashes spread in South Dakota. He did not desire a funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in his name to the Wichita Humane Society.
