Debra Lynn Thornburg of Wichita, Kansas passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.  She was born February 3, 1953, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of William (Bill) & Patsie Watts.  Debra graduated from Wichita North High School in 1971.

She enjoyed a long career in the printing business, starting at the Wichita Eagle.  From there she went to Service Business Forms, Big Ink, Midwest Single Source and finished her career at Total Print Solutions.  Deb wore a lot of hats and served her clients with integrity and compassion.

Deb volunteered in the school district.  Her greatest joy was loving the many animals she rescued & found homes for including herself on many occasions.  She was known for her kindness, warmth, generosity, and artistic skills.  Deb loved art, flowers, reading & learning, swimming, and painting.  She tirelessly took great care of her parents and always offered a hand if anybody needed help.  The extent of the support she provided friends and family along with random acts of kindness, will never be fully known.   She was a good friend to many and will be dearly missed.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Patsy Watts.  Debra is survived by her sister Julie Watts Nash of Wichita, honorary niece and nephew Carly Oberg and Logan Richmond, along with many devoted friends & two rescue cats.

The family will hold private services at a later date.
