David Allen Straub, 89, passed from this life on March 26, 2024 in Haysville, KS. Born in Detroit, MI on February 15, 1935, the son of Harry Straub and Evelyn (Straub) Underwood. He served in the US Air Force, overseas, from 1953 to 1957. He married the love of his life, Gerry DeNeves on October 18, 1958 in Huntington Park, Ca. Retired from Safeway Meat Packing, worked part time at Fahnestock and A's IGA.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Straub and grandson, William Tiffany.

Survived by his wife of 65 years, brother Harry (Janis) Straub of Etheridge, TN; sister Nancy Holben of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters, Debi (Wayne) Tiffany of Belle Plaine, KS; Denise (James) Tiffany of Haysville, KS; Deanna Straub of Wichita, KS; grandchildren Jessica (Tyler) Cooper of Haysville, KS; Jana (Jay)Davis of Andover, KS; Vicki (Ron) Monaghan of Wichita, KS; Dawn Tiffany of Haysville, KS; Jon (Tracee) Tiffany of Derby, KS; 14 great grandchildren.

David was a member of the Haysville community for 50 plus years and spent 25+ years serving others through the Haysville Senior Center. He was an active member of the Haysville Street Rod Association, showcasing his beloved '57 Buick Special. He was a passionate supporter of the Wichita Wings soccer team and loved following NASCAR. He had a talent for wood carving and enjoyed golfing and hunting with his sons-in-law. Above all, nothing could match the fulfillment he got from spending time with those he loved most – family.

Celebration of life Sunday, April 7th, 11am to 2pm at the Haysville Senior Center 160 E Karla Ave, Haysville, Ks 67060. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Haysville Senior Center
